Colorado United is a coalition of everyday Coloradans — Republicans, Democrats, and independents alike — who believe our state deserves leaders who reflect what we actually value: integrity, truth, freedom, and a fair shake for working families.
We aren't a fringe operation, and we aren't interested in scoring partisan points. We're neighbors, business owners, ranchers, veterans, and parents who got tired of watching Colorado's good name dragged through the mud by leaders more interested in going viral than governing. We came together because we believe healthy communities need honest dialogue, not endless outrage — and because we believe the growing divide in our politics is a problem worth fixing, not exploiting.
What unites us isn't a party label. It's a shared conviction that Colorado values — hard work, plain dealing, respect for our land and for each other — deserve real representation, in Washington and in Denver.
When we see leaders who fall short of that standard, we don't just complain about it. We organize, we fund the fight, and we act.
Colorado United was formed in 2022, at a moment when almost nobody believed Lauren Boebert could be beaten. The conventional wisdom said her seat was safe, her base was locked in, and a serious challenge wasn't worth the investment. We didn't buy it.
We believed — and still believe — that the people of Colorado's Third Congressional District are more thoughtful, more decent, and more serious about good government than the rhetoric coming out of that race suggested. So we got to work early, when it mattered, backing the kind of on-the-ground effort that conventional donors weren't yet willing to make.
The result was one of the closest congressional races in the country that year — close enough to force a recount, and close enough to prove just how vulnerable her grip on the district really was. It confirmed what we'd said from the start: she was out of step with Colorado then, and she still is today.
If others had invested the way Colorado United did in 2022 — early, before the polling made it fashionable — Lauren Boebert would likely have ended up a one-term congresswoman, and Adam Frisch would be running for reelection as an incumbent today. We don't intend to make that mistake twice.
Here's why we believed then — and still believe now — that she isn't fit to represent Colorado.
From inflammatory social media posts to disruptive public behavior — including her much-publicized ejection from a Denver theater — Boebert has repeatedly shown a pattern of conduct unbecoming a member of Congress. Representing a district means representing it everywhere, including when the cameras roll unexpectedly.
Boebert markets herself as a fighter for conservative values, but fighting isn't the same as governing. Years in office have produced plenty of headlines and precious little in the way of substantive results for the people who sent her to Washington. Performative politics plays well online — it doesn't fix roads, fund schools, or bring jobs home.
The Third District runs on water rights, agriculture, public lands management, and economic development — issues that demand patient, technical, unglamorous work. On the questions that actually shape daily life back home, Boebert has little to show for her time in office.
A confrontational, combative style and a pattern of association with fringe political figures and movements have made Boebert a national punchline more often than a serious legislator. Coloradans deserve a representative they can be proud of — not one they have to explain.
Beating entrenched, well-funded incumbents takes resources — and it takes them early.
